Being prepared

This page already covers our early access list in full. Our privacy policy for accounts and coaching is being written with our legal advisers and will be published here before the official launch.

Early access list

Who is responsible

Chess AI Tutor is responsible for your data under data protection law.

What we keep

When you ask for early access with your email, we keep your email address, the language you use on the site, where you first came from (for example the name of a link you followed), and when you asked and agreed to hear from us.

If you join with Lichess instead, we keep your public Lichess profile: username, ratings and number of games, country flag, title and how long the account has existed. We never see your Lichess password.

Why we keep it

To hold your place in line, to decide who we let in next and to write to you about your access. When your spot opens, we send you a personal link to get in.

We do this because you asked for early access and agreed to it. You can take that back at any time by deleting your entry. It does not change what we did before.

To stop automated sign ups, we count recent requests and delete the count after two days. When the form is sent again for an address that is already on the list, or a request looks automated, we keep only a scrambled code of the address, never the address itself, and delete it together with the rest of the list.

How long we keep it

We keep your entry while you wait. Once you are in, we delete it within a month. Anything still on the list is deleted six months after our official launch at the latest, together with any access you never used.

Deleting it

Want off the list? Open your early access page on the device you joined from and remove yourself there: we delete your entry right away. On another device, enter your address below. We take the entry out of the line at once and delete it within a week, so nobody can remove someone else just by typing their address. If your access was already open, we check the request by hand and delete it within a few days.

Deleting your entry also takes your address off our access list. If you already created an account with it, the account stays.

Your rights

You can ask us what we keep about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

For any of this, write to support@chessaitutor.org. To delete your entry you do not need to write at all: the form above does it.
